Q: What do I do about my pain pump refill/elective surgery/spinal cord stimulator implant or revision? A: Please contact the office at (828) 237-8001 to discuss current recommendations. Q: How do I request prescription refills? A: Refills can be done either in person or with telemedicine.  Please contact for scheduling.

Telemedicine Services

Q: What is telemedicine?
A:
Telemedicine utilizes technology you already have – smartphone, tablet or desktop computer – to provide pain care at a distance.  By establishing a temporary audio/visual connection, we can continue managing your pain.

Q: How does telemedicine work, will it work for my device (iOS or Android)?
A:
We use the HIPAA compliant, encrypted and secure downloadable telemedicine platform, GoToMeeting.  It is compatible with both iOS and Android devices.  You will need a reliable internet connection and an email address.  We will email you a telemedicine appointment link.

Q: Will I be able to continue telemedicine visits forever?
A:
No.  Telemedicine is a specialized method of delivering care, but has certain limitations.  To ensure you are receiving the safest care, once recommendations to end telemedicine are made, we will resume seeing you in clinic.
